The Space Craft (the Live Spaces team Space) posted details about a week ago of the new features we'll see in our Live Spaces sites and webDotWiz wrote them up with screenshots on his webDotWiz Space.

webDotWiz has a number of posts since there are many, many new features which can be divided under the headings:

• communication - send a message to your friends or use it to send reminders to yourself; a new homepage where you can send/read messages and see when your friends have updated their Live Space
• customization (i.e., customisation) - more themes and colours, new modules such as a guestbook
• photos - you can now view all your albums on one page, there's a new slide-show player and a more compact page for viewing single photos
• modules and gadgets - modules can be positioned to fit across the page at the top and bottom
• mobile phone interaction using mobile.spaces.live.com for those with phones or mobile devices that connect to the Internet
• profile - hover your mouse over the picture of one of your contacts and you'll see lots more information at a glance
• lists - better looking and easier to manage for books and music

The Soapbox team announced a few days ago the next generation of Soapbox on MSN Video (soapbox.msn.com).

There are some good screenshots on the Soapbox team Space so go and have a look.

webDotWiz hasn't gone through all the new features yet but here are a few:

• Scalable page: Change the size of your browser and the thumbnails and page will scale dynamically.
• New player with integrated Playlists and Progessive Download Indicators.
• Playlist functionality. Each time you watch a video it is automatically added to the playlist. The Playlist can also be shared.
• Improved fullscreen experience
• Video gallery sorting. Sort by hour, day etc.
• Updated embedded player with clean design and playlist features.
• Upload videos of unlimit lengths
• High quality video encoding
• Watch video with your Live Messenger friends (using the Messenger activity window).

As well there's a new MSN Video site at http://next.video.msn.com drawing on the many Premiere-Level video content partners, such as NBC News, MSNBC, and scores of other networks.
