MSN Soapbox is now available to everybody. Use your Windows Live ID to sign in and you can upload your own videos, browse through what others have contributed, flag videos as your favourites and watch a video with one of your friends through Live Messenger.

Once you've signed in, you'll see the screen is divided into two panes. The right-hand pane is where videos are played and you have access to information about the video, including an embed code so you can paste this into an entry on your Live Space.

The left-hand pane gives you various options such as browsing the library or going directly to your own area. It's here you can upload your own videos, search the library and mark videos as your favourites to build up your own library.

You don't have to be the owner of a digital video camera to record videos and upload them to Soapbox. Most of us, however, have plenty of photos and it doesn't take that long to put together a story in Photo Story and save it as a movie.

You can embed any of the videos at Soapbox into an entry in your Live Space but, naturally, you'll want to show off your own. Begin a new entry and fill in the title and category as normal. Scroll down a bit and you'll see an Embed video link at the bottom, alongside the Add photo one. Click it and a box opens into which you paste the embed code that you've copied for a particular Soapbox video.

Remember to search for Rushworth to find videos that the webDotWizards have uploaded and you might like to put one of these onto your Live Space.

Other users of Live OneCare have provided webDotWiz with some feedback how things are going on their computers.

If you read through the information on the OneCare site you'll notice that if you have an external hard drive connected, OneCare will backup to that drive in the background. As well, you can schedule OneCare to backup at certain intervals, say once a week; OneCare, once told, will go off and do its job, just as you've asked for.

For those running antivirus programs other than Free AVG, OneCare handles the removal of those antivirus packages without any problems.

Contrary to some tech magazine reports, webDotWiz hasn't seen any slow down on his fairly old computer as OneCare goes about its daily tasks of keeping viruses and spyware away from his machine and doing its tuneup in the background.

You can take advantage of the 90-day free trial when you install OneCare and when the free-use period is coming to its end, purchase OneCare from a retail outlet or online at a better price than that offered by Microsoft. In the U.S., Amazon was selling OneCare at a discounted price of $US20, so we should see similar discounted prices offered here.
