Lunar module detached from command moduleThe original Apollo 12 mission launched on November 14, 1969 and splashed down on November 24, 1969.

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Apollo 12, ApolloEcho and webDotWiz re-enacted the mission using Twitter. webDotWiz used the Apollo 12 mission transcripts (referenced below) for main events during the flight.

Inside Apollo 11 lunar moduleApollo 11 launched on July , 1969 at 13:32:00 UTC (9:32:00 a.m. local time). Only July 20, Armstrong and Aldrin landed the lunar lander, named Eagle, on the moon and became the first humans to walk on the moon. The Apollo 11 crew splashed down on July 24, 1969.

Forty years later, NASA celebrated the Apollo 11 mission to the moon with a re-enactment.
